Our beautiful 14th century country inn offers a wealth of old charm features
associated with timber framed buildings, including a very large walk-in
inglenook fireplace.
Set in rural countryside alongside the B1053 and within easy reach of Great Dunmow, Braintree and Stansted Airport.
Settings are ideal for a romantic dinner for two, or we can cater for parties of 40 by prior arrangement. Pre-booking is strongly advised for Fridays and Saturday evenings, and Sunday lunchtimes.
In winter we have two open log fires, one of which is situated in the restaurant where a full ā la carte menu is served.
For those sampling our real ales at lunchtimes a bar menu is available. We also offer a takeaway service on selected dishes Monday to Saturday.
